Roxanne Warder

Obsession with the female figure came early on for Roxanne Warder and has continued to influence her work. She has been greatly influenced by the work of Tamara De Lempika.

"Create a new style, bright, luminous colours, and scent out the elegance in your models" – Lempicka.

The sensuality of women and the glamour they possess influences the way she depicts the female form. Another important aspect to her practice is the composition and use of space within the piece, she reserves areas on the canvas where the viewer can rest their eyes and ‘get out’ of the heavier/busier parts of the painting.
